Full Job Description
## Accountabilities Serve as the primary legal advisor on employment law matters, providing strategic counsel to executive leadership on workforce issues, compliance obligations, and regulatory risk across multiple states. Lead employment-related litigation and pre-litigation matters from intake through resolution, including oversight of external counsel and dispute strategy execution. Manage internal workplace investigations involving employee relations issues, misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and other sensitive matters. Develop and implement proactive legal strategies, policies, and tools to reduce employment-related risk and strengthen organizational compliance. Draft and review employment documents, including policies, separation agreements, and arbitration agreements, ensuring alignment with legal and operational requirements. Support multi-state expansion efforts by ensuring employment law readiness in new jurisdictions and maintaining compliance with evolving regulations. Partner with HR and business leaders to provide guidance on employee relations, training initiatives, and risk mitigation practices. Requirements: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with active bar admission and good standing in at least one U.S. state. 5+ years of legal experience, with a strong background in employment law, litigation management, and advisory responsibilities (law firm and in-house experience preferred). Deep expertise in U.S. federal and state employment laws, with the ability to advise on multi-jurisdictional compliance matters. Proven experience managing complex litigation, investigations, and negotiations with a high degree of autonomy. Strong ability to identify legal risk early and develop practical, business-aligned solutions. Experience working in data-driven environments, leveraging insights and reporting to inform legal strategy and prioritization.
