Full Job Description
Join our NFC Automotive Embedded Software team and contribute to the development of advanced automotive NFC platforms, working close to the silicon across pre‑ and post‑silicon phases. You will collaborate within an international engineering team to deliver firmware that meets the highest standards of quality and robustness in a standards‑driven automotive environment. **Your Responsibilities** * Design, implement and verify embedded firmware modules for automotive semiconductor products. * Own firmware verification and validation activities, including pre- and post- silicon testing. * Define and implement firmware test concepts, test cases and test environments. * Contribute to system bring‑up, debugging, and root‑cause analysis across hardware and software boundaries. * Document design decisions, implementation details, and test results in accordance with NXP quality standards. * Support internal and external customers by analyzing technical issues and providing robust solutions. * Collaborate closely with hardware, system, and validation teams across multiple sites and disciplines. **Your Profile** * Strong experience in embedded firmware development using C/C++, ideally in automotive or safety‑critical environments. * Solid understanding of embedded systems, including low‑level firmware and hardware interfaces. * Experience with firmware verification, testing methodologies, and debugging techniques. * Familiarity with ROM‑based firmware, bootloaders, or early silicon bring‑up phases is a plus. * Knowledge of Python is an advantage, for example in automation, tooling, or test support. * Experience with version control systems, CI/CD environments, and software quality metrics. * Experience with AI‑assisted development tools is considered a plus. * Basic knowledge of digital hardware design and HDL (Verilog or VHDL) is an advantage. * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field — or comparable practical experience. *
