Must Have
5+ years of hands-on experience in a research, fabrication, or test lab environment, Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, interconnects, and wiring diagrams and apply them at the bench, Proven experience soldering, reflowing, reworking, and repairing PCBAs to IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, IPC-7711/7721)
What You'll Do.

Support pulsed-energy drive systems
and energy recovery hardware by hands-on assembly
instrumentation setup
and real-time troubleshooting in lab and production environments.
Independently execute complex bench-level work
identify hardware issues through measurement and observation
and partner with engineers to resolve problems quickly and safely in high-noise
high-field environments.
and test PCBA and control systems used directly on fusion machines and supporting test infrastructure.

including oscilloscopes
Assemble and modify electrical subassemblies
and test components for PCBAs

Independently troubleshoot electrical faults at the board

while diagnosing root cause.
and iteration of new hardware alongside engineers

About Helion We are a fusion power company based in Everett, WA, with the mission to build the world's first fusion power plant, enabling a future with unlimited clean electricity. Our last prototype, Trenta, completed 10,000 high-power pulses and reached plasma temperatures of 100 million degrees Celsius (9 keV).
