What They're Looking For.
Must Have
STEM degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience, 3+ years of experience designing and analyzing analog and RF circuits using schematic capture tools and performance simulation tools, problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues, Excellent written and verbal communication for technical documentation and collaboration
Nice to Have
Experience with RTCA/DO-160, DO-254, and FCC/ETSI regulations, and standards for Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware, Experience with environmental testing, including Temperature, RF Emissions, RF Susceptibility, and/or Lightning, foundation in RF/microwave engineering and wireless communication systems, Expertise in RF circuit design, including power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, filters, and antennas, In-depth knowledge of wireless communication protocols (e.g., 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.), Proficiency in using RF and microwave simulation tools (e.g., ADS, HFSS, AWR, MCST, or similar), familiarity with PCB layout, high-frequency design techniques, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) mitigation, Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes, Experience with design and simulation tools like MATLAB, SPICE, or similar, Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware development is a plus, Experience in sustainment engineering, including failure analysis and obsolescence management, Familiarity with 3D antenna design and testing

Perform hands-on troubleshooting
