S. as a refugee or granted asylum, Blue’s Standard Background Check, Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation, Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10, 001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training., Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
12+ years of experience software development, at least 8 years leading technical teams, 6+ years of experience in space flight avionics or software development, Proven success bringing complex connected software from prototype to deployment in production
Nice to Have
Master’s degree in software or electrical engineering, or related field, Experience with satellite communications and bus software, Experience with software and data security
What You'll Do.
build and lead a team developing software for optical and RF communication payload flight systems
and gateway terminals
define software architecture from prototyping through to high-volume production for advanced 6 Tbps satellite communications
develop long-term software strategies and roadmaps for the TeraWave constellation
and mentor a high-performing software engineering team responsible for flight and terminal software
and validation of embedded software for optical and RF communications between satellites and satellites and the ground for the payload on the satellite and the ground systems
Ensure software reliability and compliance with space-grade standards
