What They're Looking For.
Must Have
10 years of progressive experience in compliance, risk management, legal, audit, or related governance roles within financial services, Understanding of regulatory compliance management and risk assessment methodologies, Ability to assess regulatory developments, prioritize activities, and make sound decisions in a rapidly changing environment, Skilled at translating complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance and communicating effectively with diverse audiences, Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s)
Nice to Have
Experience with RCM oversight function activities, Experience leading high-performing teams and providing strategic direction in complex, regulated environments
What You'll Do.
Lead a team responsible to perform RCM oversight function activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements across CIBC’s Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Functional Groups (FGs)
Set the strategic direction for the CFC operating model
driving continuous improvement to ensure consistent
high quality execution of regulatory compliance oversight activities
Serve as the accountable officer for more than 200 Regulatory Group Topics within the CFC mandate
Provide expert guidance on complex regulatory matters
Foster a culture of compliance
reinforce effective risk management
and support the achievement of CIBC’s business objectives
Lead and manage the CFC team
providing clear direction and oversight of regulatory compliance management oversight activities
and continuously improve the CFC operating model
and procedures in alignment with CIBC’s RCM Framework
Oversee the execution of the RCM program oversight activities
ensuring robust processes for identifying
and remediating regulatory compliance risks
Review complex regulatory and legal documentation and translate requirements into actionable controls
Provide ongoing leadership
and development to a team of compliance professionals
Set clear expectations
