What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline., 12–15 years of progressive leadership experience in R&D, marketing, technical sales, product management, and business development across the broader chemicals/plastics industry, Proven track record of managing business building responsibilities and leading cross-functional teams., Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to executive stakeholders and customers.
Nice to Have
MBA or advanced degree in a technical field., Established relationships within the architectural, engineering, and consultant communities., financial acumen and experience with SAP/Vendavo or similar pricing and analytics platforms.
What You'll Do.
Lead identification and assessment of early-stage innovation programs
Develop standard forums for executive alignment on strategies
Track sales and profit growth performance
Collaborate across business units for opportunities
Partner with M&A team for due diligence
Develop comprehensive business cases for innovation programs
Assist in development of strategies for specialized product lines
Oversee translation of field insights into product improvements
Monitor competitive technical trends
Leverage stage-gate methodology for program execution
Establish standard protocols for Sales and Marketing support
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Closely partner with product managers across all BUs; Collaborate across Residential, Commercial, and Siplast teams; Partner with Standard Industries M&A team; In partnership with product and R&D leaders; Ensure seamless transition of new programs; Foster a culture of accountability, analytical rigor, innovation and customer-centricity; Instill ability to shape and analyze product innovation ideas; Act as a strategic thinker and sounding board resource for the broader Product team
Communication Scope
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; Ability to present to executive stakeholders and customers
