Must Have
Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Forestry, Agriculture, Biology, Social Sciences, Sustainability, or a related discipline, 15 years of progressive professional experience, 10 years leading departmental strategy, budgets, and high-performing international teams, Extensive senior leadership experience managing collaborations with donors, corporations, strategic alliances, and external partners, Proven track record of scientific achievement, innovation, and contributions within relevant environmental, sustainability, or development-related fields, Direct experience working with producers, agricultural stakeholders, forest communities, or similar groups in complex operating environments, Demonstrated ability to convert technical and scientific insights into practical, scalable solutions that drive measurable impact, Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and public speaking skills, Capabilities in strategic thinking, innovation, adaptability, persuasion, problem-solving, and organizational leadership, Ability to build trusted relationships across diverse cultures, disciplines, and geographic regions, Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver results in fast-paced and evolving environments

Full Job Description
## Accountabilities Define and lead the global applied science strategy, ensuring alignment between scientific expertise, organizational priorities, and long-term impact goals. Provide leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary international team of specialists across climate, agriculture, forestry, geospatial analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and related technical fields. Translate complex scientific research, impact data, and technical findings into scalable programs, operational frameworks, and practical solutions that deliver measurable outcomes. Develop and strengthen methodologies, tools, assurance frameworks, and decision-making processes that support effective program implementation and continuous improvement. Promote producer- and community-centered approaches by embedding the needs of farmers, forest communities, and local stakeholders into strategy development and execution. Drive evidence-based decision-making through the integration of scientific research, qualitative insights, monitoring systems, and impact evaluation methodologies. Foster collaboration, accountability, innovation, and learning across teams, regions, and functions. Build and maintain strategic relationships with donors, private-sector partners, industry stakeholders, policymakers, and other key external collaborators. Represent the organization at global conferences, policy discussions, and industry forums, serving as a trusted and influential scientific leader. Contribute to executive-level decision-making by providing strategic guidance, technical expertise, and leadership across organizational priorities.
