Evolito’s mission is to accelerate the adoption of electric propulsion in aerospace applications in support of a net-zero world. We will help to revolutionise personal mobility and transform our towns and cities with clean, noise-free air transportation. Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation. As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months. As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Senior Development Engineer to play a key role in the design development, verification and validation of Evolito’s products. This role involves analysing complex issues, developing methodologies and solutions to progress electric propulsion system performance, robustness and compliance. This position supports the full product lifecycle from concept development through qualification and certification. _Key responsibilities will include:_ * Critically evaluate all aspects of the design from component to system level to support validation and verification of all customer, program and regulatory requirements * Identify and plan technical investigations to resolve complex engineering challenges to improve product robustness and maturity * Champion the use of structured problem-solving tools to conduct root cause analysis and define actions to be fed back into the design or manufacturing processes * Support the electric engine development plan to validate and verify program, regulatory and customer requirements * Lead collaboration across design, CAE, simulations, systems, manufacturing, materials and test teams to identify opportunities to deliver design solutions
