Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Developer Advocate to join our team in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you'll spearhead our developer engagement efforts across Japan, driving adoption of AWS services and fostering a thriving developer ecosystem. Key job responsibilities As a Developer Advocate, you'll create engaging technical content, including tutorials, blog posts and sample applications, that helps developers succeed with our platform. You'll represent our company at conferences, meetups, and online events, delivering technical talks and workshops that educate and inspire. You'll gather developer feedback to help shape our product roadmap and work closely with our engineering teams to ensure our platform meets developer needs. Your role will involve building and nurturing relationships with developer communities, contributing to open-source projects, and establishing yourself as a trusted voice in the technical community. A day in the life Your typical day might begin with reviewing and responding to developer questions on our community forums, followed by working on a technical blog post. You might spend the middle of your day collaborating with the product team on upcoming features, sharing insights gathered from the developer community. After lunch, you could be recording a tutorial video demonstrating best practices, then joining a remote meetup to give a technical presentation.
