What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, 6-8 years of progressively more advanced product engineering experience, 4 years of design or manufacturing project ownership, Fluent in English, Experience in using GD&T in 2D, Experience with PLM systems and document control, Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, Hands on skills, including machine shop, composites, electronics &/or bike mechanic skills, Experience working with international cultures and factories, willingness to travel
Nice to Have
Ideally familiar with CREO (Pro/e) CAD, avid cyclist, expert bike mechanic

Add vital engineering details to wheel projects
Oversee all design and manufacturing aspects of the project
and escalate whenever timeline or performance are at risk
Collaborate with Test
and Quality engineers to diagnose test lab failures
then validate and implement corrective actions
Jump in to help when other design and manufacturing projects need help
Run multiple projects with varying scope
primarily wheels which assemble existing components in new configurations
and/or at new vendors
Handle all project management work (including PLM) for owned projects
Complete all NPI documentation as required
Maintain timelines by reprioritizing assembles and tests
Prevent delays by foreseeing and preventing issues
and/or having a backup plan

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE (YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES) · Engineering Responsibilities o Be the wheel design expert. Deliver the right product, at the right time, with the right quality. o Add vital engineering details to wheel projects requested by Project Managers and Supply Chain. o Oversee all design and manufacturing aspects of the project. Start with an Engineering Brief, finish with a production-ready package. o Foresee issues, mitigate risk, provide solutions, and escalate whenever timeline or performance are at risk. o Frequent travel to Asian Factories (primarily Taiwan) to support development and validation. o Collaborate with Test, Manufacturing, and Quality engineers to diagnose test lab failures, identify root cause, then validate and implement corrective actions. o Jump in to help when other design and manufacturing projects need help.
