Full Job Description
The Alexa Daily Essentials team delivers experiences critical to how customers interact with Alexa as part of daily life. Alexa users engage with our products across experiences connected to Timers, Alarms, Calendars, Food, and News. Our experiences include critical time saving techniques, ad-supported news audio and video, and in-depth kitchen guidance aimed at serving the needs of the family from sunset to sundown. As a Sr Data Engineer on our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing an analytical environment using third-party and in-house tools. You will work on complex data models, build reports and dashboards. To succeed in this role you should have deep expertise in the design, creation, management, and business use of large datasets, across a variety of data platforms. Key job responsibilities Problem-Solving - Work with the product and development teams within Alexa org to understand the product vision and requirements. - Work with Product Managers, BI engineers and Software Engineers to design, implement and support high quality data products. - Partner with other teams across Alexa to ingest relevant datasets into the Alexa Devices BI data-warehouse. - Collaborate with other data engineers within the team to build a data platform that is self-service and possesses key capabilities like data discovery, data lineage, proactive data monitoring and security/compliance monitoring. - Leverage and manage AWS services like Bedrock, Sagemaker, S3, Redshift, Athena, Kinesis, Lambda, Data Lake etc.. - Conduct workshops and lunch-n-learn sessions to educate customers on product capabilities.
