Full Job Description
_Senior Counsel, Regulatory – Pharmacy Services_ The Senior Counsel, Regulatory – Pharmacy Services serves as the primary legal advisor on pharmacy regulatory matters across Evernorth’s pharmacies, wholesale drug distributors, and private label entities. This role provides strategic and practical legal counsel on state and federal drug laws, leads responses to regulatory inquiries, complaints, and inspections, and partners with Pharmacy Practice, Compliance, and Product teams to proactively manage regulatory risk and enable business growth. The position requires a strong working knowledge of the pharmaceutical supply chain, along with the ability to navigate complex, evolving regulatory environments and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders. **_KEY RESPONSIBILITIES_** ### Regulatory Enforcement & Board of Pharmacy Matters * Serve as lead legal counsel for Board of Pharmacy complaints, inspections, citations, and enforcement actions. * Review and approve written regulatory responses. * Advise on escalation risk, remediation, and regulator engagement. * Partner with Compliance and Pharmacy Practice on trend identification and prevention. ### Pharmacy Operations & Regulatory Compliance * Advise on pharmacy licensure and operational compliance across jurisdictions. * Interpret and apply complex and evolving pharmacy laws. * Support audits, inspections, and regulatory inquiries. * Advise on regulations permitting 340B models, biosimilars and REMS. ### Shared Services, Central Fill & Emerging Models * Lead legal analysis of shared services and centralized pharmacy models. * Evaluate state-by-state regulatory permissibility and risk. * Support regulatory advocacy and rulemaking responses. ### Legislative & Regulatory Advisory * Provide legal interpretation of new and pending pharmacy-related legislation. * Translate regulatory requirements into operational guidance. ### Governance & Cross-Functional Leadership * Serve as Legal representative on pharmacy and co
