Mastercard is seeking a Senior Counsel (Director) to provide strategic, end to end legal support to assigned business units in Brazil, notably to Customer Risk Management. This role serves as a senior legal advisor and trusted business partner, facilitating thoughtful risk taking while ensuring alignment with Mastercard’s strategy, internal policies, and applicable laws and regulations. The position will be based in São Paulo, Brazil and report directly to the Head of Legal in Brazil. About the Role • Serve as the principal legal advisor for complex, high value, and high visibility matters concerning collateral agreements and risk management structures. • Structure, draft, review, and negotiate sophisticated commercial and financial agreements, identifying material legal and business risks and providing pragmatic, solutions oriented advice. • Advise on legal matters related to the electronic payments and financial services ecosystem, partnering with subject matter experts across compliance, regulatory, risk, tax, privacy, and intellectual property. • Manage and coordinate external counsel on complex matters. • Mentor and coach junior attorneys and legal professionals, contributi
