What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 5+ years experience as Engineer, 5+ years experience as Senior Construction Manager, 5+ years construction related disciplines, Project management experience, Experience negotiating construction contracts, Experience negotiating procurement contracts, Experience negotiating labor contracts, Experience working in ambiguous environment
Nice to Have
Master's in Engineering, Master's in Construction Management, Ability to communicate Amazon requirements, Spanish language proficiency, French language proficiency, Polish language proficiency, Arabic language proficiency, Portuguese language proficiency, Turkish language proficiency, Afrikaans language proficiency, Zulu language proficiency
What You'll Do.
Oversee construction engineering
Oversee design for FCs
Manage new fulfillment network buildings
Manage additional capacity requirements
Lead construction scope review
Develop construction scope
Facilitate engineering efforts
Facilitate design efforts
Prepare specifications
Prepare technical analysis
Oversee execution of ground up shell
Oversee execution of TI
Oversee execution of engineering deployment
Provide technical direction
Negotiate contracts with General Contractors
Negotiate contracts with trade contractors
Present formal documentation
Ensure contracts are fit for purpose
Ensure contracts are cost effective
Incorporate Service Level Agreements
Provide site management
Provide specification of business proposals
Coordinate subcontractors
Facilitate due diligence evaluation
Team on due diligence evaluation
Partner on base building management transition
Oversee base building management transition
Oversee turnover documentation
Ensure contracted resources deliver work
Address under-performance issues
