Must Have
Senior-level experience supporting large enterprise cloud environments, Python, SQL, GCP / BigQuery, Production ETL/ELT pipeline development, Cloud Run, Cloud Workflows, Composer/Airflow, or similar orchestration tools, Terraform / IaC, including working independently within existing Terraform repos, Building and maintaining cloud data pipelines in production, API ingestion and cloud/vendor platform integrations, Practical AI-assisted development experience using tools such as Copilot, Claude, Cursor, etc., Comfortable operating as a self-starter with significant ownership and autonomy, Must reside in the Atlanta, GA or Austin, TX metro area, W-2 only, fully remote contract opportunity, exclusively dedicated to this role during Standard Eastern Time business hours, camera on during meetings, collaboration sessions, etc. for the first 90 days, all work must be performed from within the United States

Full Job Description
Seeking a **Senior Cloud Data Engineer** to help build and own production cloud data pipelines focused on cloud asset, billing, and FinOps-related data. This is a highly hands-on, GCP-focused role requiring strong Python engineering skills, production pipeline ownership, and the **ability to work independently and proactively on a lean team.** The ideal candidate has experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating with cloud/vendor APIs, troubleshooting production systems, and managing cloud-native infrastructure in production environments. Key responsibilities include building new pipelines for cloud asset types, integrating with multiple cloud/vendor APIs, and helping scale a critical cloud data platform. **PLEASE NOTE** \- This is a remote role, but candidates must reside in the **Atlanta or Austin** area for occasional onsite needs.
