AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. Key job responsibilities - Manage vendors and manufacturers to assess new fiber optic and passive infrastructure designs, establish fiber testing standards, and develop scalable implementation strategies for network-wide deployment. - Automate fiber test plans and qualify fiber connectivity designs. - Design and specify structured cabling systems (fiber, copper, cable trays/duct banks) for network layers at hyperscale data centers - Develop standards, reference designs, and installation guidelines for physical network/cabling deployments and structured cabling systems - Focus on ambiguous problem areas in existing or new network architecture and systems development initiatives, propose and deliver projects that have a significant business and/or customer impact - Drive discussions with customers and peers, and being a key influencer in team strategy - Partner with internal network engineering and site operations teams to align physical design with logical network architecture - Monitor module qualit
