What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Formal qualification or experience in a relevant engineering discipline, Min. 2 years laboratory experience at calibration technician level or equivalent, A good understanding of metrology, both practical and theory, A basic understanding of ISO 17025: 2017, A basic understanding of the formulation of uncertainty budgets, Competent and experienced in relevant technical disciplines, Full UK driving licence & own transport
Nice to Have
preferably electrical / metrology based qualification, Knowledge of ISO 17025: 2017
What You'll Do.
Conducting a variety of instrument calibrations (mainly electrical)
Ensure the validity and traceability of measurements in compliance with ISO 17025: 2017 requirements
Following procedures and ensuring compliance with client contractual and KPI obligations
Calibration of a wide range of measurement instruments (mainly electrical) in line with ISO 17025: 2017 standard and customer requirements
Achievement of agreed training objectives
Assist your line manager to determine whether calibration capability is compatible with customer requirements
Sign-off internal and external audits findings
Participate in continuous improvement projects
Develop new calibration methods in accordance with customer requirements
Determine whether calibration capability is compatible with customer requirements
Document and maintain existing standards
KPIs and record keeping
Undertake analysis of results
including statements of conformity or opinions and interpretations
