Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical infrastructure engineering experience, 7+ years of hands-on AWS administration experience in production environments, AWS networking expertise, VPC, Transit Gateway, VPNs, hybrid connectivity, Route 53, DNS routing, health checks, failover strategies, managing HIPAA/PHI-sensitive workloads, secure healthcare or regulated cloud environments, Aurora PostgreSQL administration, RDS administration, scaling, backups, failover, outage recovery, performance optimization, IAM expertise, identity federation, SSO, RBAC, least-privilege access, cloud security best practices, Linux administration, deep networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, IPsec, secure connectivity models, Infrastructure as Code tools, Terraform, AWS CDK, monitoring experience, observability experience, CloudWatch, logging, alerting, incident troubleshooting workflows, on-call operations, incident response, operational troubleshooting, daily use of AI tools
