What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field, 3-5 years of experience in valuation control, product control, risk management, or a similar analytical role within the financial services industry, understanding of financial instruments, including complex derivatives, fixed income securities, and alternative investments, Proficiency in valuation methodologies, pricing models, and market data sources, Advanced Excel skills, Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities with keen attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
Nice to Have
Master's degree or CFA designation preferred, experience with VBA, Python, SQL, or other programming languages is a significant plus

Execute independent price verification (IPV) across a diverse range of financial instruments
including fixed income
and alternative investments
ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
Critically assess and challenge valuation models
and assumptions used by front office and third-party administrators.
Investigate and resolve valuation discrepancies
working closely with portfolio managers
and operations teams.
Prepare detailed valuation reports and present findings to senior management
highlighting key risks and trends.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of valuation control frameworks
Participate in the onboarding of new products and clients
