What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in information management, risk, business, or a related field, 3+ years of experience in data governance, risk management, compliance, or a related field, Experience working with cross-functional teams, Understanding of data governance concepts and frameworks, Basic knowledge of data lifecycle management, metadata, data quality, and access management, Analytical and problem-solving skills, Ability to draft and maintain documentation, Good communication skills, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, Attention to detail and a proactive approach to issue management
Nice to Have
CDMP from DAMA or similar recognized qualification, preferably within financial services, Exposure to data governance tools (e. g. , data catalogues, data quality platforms) is an advantage
What You'll Do.
implementation and ongoing operation of the data governance framework
ensure data is managed as a strategic asset
supporting compliance
operational efficiency
embed data governance principles
support the overall Risk Management framework
Assist in the rollout and maintenance of the Data Governance framework
Support the creation and updating of data management policies and procedures
Help maintain the Data Catalogue and Data Taxonomy
Support the identification and monitoring of Critical Data Elements (CDEs)
Assist with metadata management and data quality assessments
Track and help remediate data issues
Support data maturity assessments and reporting
Help maintain data ownership records and RACI matrices
Contribute to the development of data governance training and awareness materials
Support the creation of data scorecards and reports for management and committees
