What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Relevant experience working on corporate or education M&A transactions, Interest in Education law and Independent Schools, Experience of supervision and development of other team members, Previous experience of pro-active business development and ability to demonstrate generation of new revenue streams and be able to promote the firm and cross-sell other specialisms internally and externally, Well-organised, technically proficient and a leader, Excellent communication skills, addressing any potentially difficult conversations promptly and with skill, Proven experience in independently managing projects and cross-team working, demonstrating organisational skills and good financial hygiene (e. g. accurate time recording, billing discipline, and cost awareness)

Experience in Education and Charity Law

What You'll Do.

Meet or exceed the Firm’s expectations for accurately recording chargeable and non-chargeable hours

Monitor ongoing progress against hours to help maximise performance or address potential shortfalls

Take the lead on complex projects

Work as a team to optimise revenue and profit by implementing best practice matter management and service delivery

Delegate to and provide supervision to more junior members of the team

Ensure work is conducted at the appropriate level

Foster a culture of learning

and high performance across the team

Build and maintain client relationships to generate new work and retain existing clients

Lead on marketing initiatives

and thought leadership to raise the Firm’s profile

Contribute to strategic growth by identifying new markets

Communicate promptly and effectively both internally to colleagues and externally to clients

Carry out work for both colleagues and clients to the highest possible standard

having regard to the Firm’s standards

Attend and be involved in preparation for marketing and business development events and activities
