Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing finance, Hands-on experience with standard costing and variance analysis in a complex manufacturing environment, Experience working with SAP (S/4HANA preferred), Fluency in English
Nice to Have
CA / CMA / CPA or MBA (Finance), Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing environments, understanding of inventory accounting and US GAAP, Advanced Excel experience with automation or reporting tools is a plus, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment
What You'll Do.
Support the end-to-end standard costing process
including preparation
and validation of standard costs
Maintain and update standard costs in SAP S/4Hana (including material
and overhead components)
Perform monthly costing-related variance analysis (standard vs actual)
and overhead variances
Support inventory accounting activities
including inventory valuation
Assist with absorption testing
excess capacity analysis
and related reporting
Prepare and review journal entries
account reconciliations
and supporting schedules related to inventory and costing
Support audit requirements
in collaboration with Cost Accounting
Support S/4HANA system enhancements
and data validation related to costing and inventory
Participate in continuous improvement and automation initiatives within costing and inventory processes

## **Career Category** Finance ## ## **Job Description** In this vital role, you will support the **Operations Finance team** , with a primary focus on **standard costing execution and analysis** across Amgen’s manufacturing network. You will work closely with global stakeholders and play a key role in ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
