ABOUT THE ROLE A Series A fintech company is looking for a Senior Android Software Engineer to join a product-focused team building consumer financial products. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business leaders to craft high-quality mobile experiences, leveraging multiple datasets to drive clear objectives. This role offers meaningful impact on product direction and user happiness through pragmatic problem solving and cross-functional collaboration. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Design, implement, and maintain a core consumer-facing Android application - Assist in building and scaling platform infrastructure - Pragmatically solve complex technical and product problems - Contribute to product design decisions and overall direction - Communicate and collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and business teams - Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers on the Android team WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required: - 2+ years of experience in mobile engineering - Strong Kotlin expertise with Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture (MVVM / Clean Architecture) - Hands-on experience building and shipping consumer-facing mobile apps (B2C experience is a must) - Experience with backend data formats and APIs common in mobile apps, including protobufs, REST, and gRPC - Experience integrating Firebase services (Authentication, Firestore/Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging) - Proficiency with Android testing strategies (unit and instrumentation/UI tests) and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mobile - Strong communication skills and a track record of cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and business stakeholders Nice to Have: - Mentorship or technical leadership experience guiding junior mobile engineers TECH STACK - Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Firebase, Dagger Hilt DI, GCP, Go, Protobufs, BigQuery, MySQL COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Salary range: $160,000 – $200,000 USD annually - Visa sponsorship available LOCATION This is an on-site r
