What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of experience in Android development within a professional software engineering environment, Experience building Android applications using Kotlin and Java, with modern Android development practices and Android Jetpack libraries (ViewModel, DataStore, Navigation), and Jetpack Compose for UI, as well as traditional Views with Fragments, Solid understanding of clean architecture and common Android architectural patterns (MVP, MVVM, MVI), Experience with Kotlin Coroutines, reactive programming using RxJava, and task scheduling with WorkManager, Experience with local data persistence solutions such as Room and Realm, Proficiency with version control systems and collaborative tooling (Git, Atlassian, or similar), Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to Have
hands-on experience with Java is a plus, Experience with multi-module Android projects, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment practices, Familiarity with frontend technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular), deep understanding of the Android SDK., Exposure to accessibility standards, localization, analytics, and UI enhancements (WorkManager, Paging, Lottie), German language skills
