Full Job Description

Role Overview The Senior Analytics Engineer I will help establish best analytical practices across the GOAT Group organization. Ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of data modeling and core software engineering principles in addition to technical SQL skills. Additionally, candidates will have a curiosity for the business and ability to expand their knowledge through learning and implementation of new analytics engineering technologies. In this role, you will: Build upon and scale our current data infrastructure (Snowflake, dbt, Mode/Metabase) to meet evolving business needs and capture critical business logic. Work closely with the Senior Analytics Engineering Manager to create and improve data models, data orchestrations, dbt version updates, and development environments. Contribute expertise and promote best analytics engineering practices in the organization through collaboration with other data teams and stakeholders. Establish data quality and governance across all business units including, but not limited to, Finance, Accounting Operations, Product, and Engineering We are looking for: 3-5+ years in an Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Business Intelligence Engineering role Strong SQL skills with knowledge of window functions, performance tuning, optimization, and legibility Experience using dbt CLI/Cloud or other data modeling tools (Stitch, Coalesce, etc.) Proficient in using Git for version control, including branching, merging, and collaborative development best practices Experience with scheduling and orchestration tools (GitHub Actions, Airflow, etc.) Familiarity with event tracking analytics and clickstream data (mParticle, Snowplow, etc.) Comfortable with Python/R for advanced ETL/ELT procedures Ability to communicate effectively with and prioritize requests from both technical and non-technical stakeholders GOAT Group uses geographic pay tiers based on the employee’s home state to align compensation with market dif
