Sports & Specialised Analytical Services (SASS) is an internationally recognised testing laboratory specialising in banned substance and anti-doping testing. We operate in 3 key categories: Animal sports medication and doping control, Human drug testing, and Supplement testing and product certification. . We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, proactive Senior Scientist to join our Animal Sports Confirmatory team! As part of our confirmatory analysis team, you will provide a quality analytical chemistry service to customers such as the BHA, IHRB, FEI, and GBGB. Confirmatory analysis is designed to test samples for the presence of the suspected drug, to a standard of legal proof. This includes planning and conducting work (sample extraction and detection) in accordance with the requirements of ISO17025, performing maintenance on scientific equipment (including mass spectrometers), and interpretation of analytical data and presentation of results and conclusions. You will need to be adaptable and perform additional analyses and investigations where required. Also provide expert witness testimony evidence where necessary.
