What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or related field, 5+ years of experience in accounting operations, at least 2 years in SAP, Proven experience implementing automation solutions in a corporate accounting environment, Experience with SAP configuration/customization and working with SAP software solutions, Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization, Process oriented with attention to detail
Nice to Have
3+ years of experience in Public Accounting, Oil & Gas Accounting, or a similar role in the energy sector, Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Proficiency in data tools such as SQL, Spotfire, or Power BI, Familiarity with Enverus solutions (OpenInvoice, OpenTicket, EnergyLink, etc. ), Familiarity with project management methodologies, Understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls
What You'll Do.
Evaluate accounting processes to reduce manual effort
and strengthen controls
Design and implement automation
workflow improvements
and reporting solutions
Prioritize high‑impact improvements using analytics and emerging technologies
reusable tools and processes adopted across accounting teams
Translate accounting needs into functional requirements in partnership with IT
Support SAP enhancements
Troubleshoot system issues and recommend sustainable solutions
Support workflow design and system controls within IT governance frameworks
Enhance month‑end close with system driven solutions including automated reporting and reconciliations
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Works closely with IT to translate accounting requirements and support system enhancements; Partner with AP, JIB, Project Services, and other teams to identify pain points and improve workflows; Interact effectively with all levels of the organization
