As part of the design phase determines timing and designs analog signal path as well as chip level electrical and mechanical interfaces. Performs design trade studies and contributes to chip‑level architectural decisions. Performs performance analysis including noise, power and variability. Responsible for entire analog design focusing on system level analysis, but also responsible for transistor level simulations. Technically leads a small team of digital and layout engineers working on the same project.
