10 years experience Ammunition Technical Officer, IATG Level 5 Inspector Explosives, In-depth knowledge IATGs, Ammunition storage handling procedures, Exceptional communication interpersonal skills, Proven analytical problem-solving abilities, Proven record delivering training, Advanced IT proficiency, Fluency in English B2 CEFR, IMAS Level 3 EOD, Previous work host nation military/police

Full Job Description
**Salary:** Up to £75,000 per annum. **Location:** UK with frequent overseas travel (at least 25 weeks of international travel per year). **Hours:** Full Time **Contract Type:** Permanent. **Reports To:** Global EOD and IEDD Technical Manager. **Direct Reports:** Global Ammunition Technical Specialists. **Indirect Reports:** Programme and Regional Ammunition Technical Specialists. **Key Internal Contacts/Relationships:** Director of WAM and WAM Regional Programme Managers. **Key External Contacts/Relationships:** External stakeholders for HALO’s Weapons and Ammunition Management work. These may be militaries, national mine action authorities, standards bodies, etc. **Job Purpose:** Provides expert technical leadership in ammunition lifecycle management, ensuring safe storage, handling, and disposal in line with international standards across global programmes. Delivers training, oversight, and technical support to improve ammunition safety and reduce risk in high-hazard environments. **About HALO:** HALO is the leading global NGO addressing the impact and drivers of conflict in 30 countries and territories, with over 7,000 staff. Our primary duty is to serve people affected by conflict, clearing landmines and the explosive remnants of war that threaten lives and livelihoods long after fighting has finished. We make land safe where war has ended, while also assisting those affected by active conflict and endemic violence. HALO addresses human suffering caused by armed violence in some of the world’s most fragile places, securing weapons and ammunition, and working with both state and community actors to reduce the prevalence of armed violence. To date, HALO’s global WAM projects have built and refurbished 344 armouries and explosive storage facilities, marked and registered over 61,000 weapons, and trained nearly 1,500 national security force personnel in safe storage and disposal of at-risk
