What They're Looking For.
Must Have
6-12 years of experience in data governance, data management, analytics enablement, or related data roles, Demonstrated experience working with modern cloud data platforms, Proven ability to apply governance concepts in practice, balancing business needs, speed, and risk, communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate technical and governance concepts into business-relevant language, Proven ability to influence without authority and operate effectively in environments with evolving requirements, Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable operating in ambiguity, understanding of: Data definitions and semantics, understanding of: Critical data elements and prioritization, understanding of: Metadata management and data classification, understanding of: Data quality concepts and impacts, Experience partnering effectively with Business and functional stakeholders, Experience partnering effectively with Analytics and BI teams, Experience partnering effectively with Data engineering and platform teams
Nice to Have
preferably within complex or regulated environment, with preference for GCP and Databricks, GCP Professional Data Engineer, AWS Data Analytics, Databricks Certified, dbt Certified
What You'll Do.

Serve as a hands‑on data governance consultant
enabling and operationalizing governance capabilities across the analytics platform (Databricks)
Establish and evolve a data governance strategy
Define and maintain governance standards
Partner with Data Owners
Business Stakeholders
and Technical Leads to identify and prioritize critical data elements
Capture and govern business data definitions and essential dataset context
Apply governance within a central‑to‑federated operating model
Identify opportunities to improve data quality
Act as a trusted advisor and change agent
communicating governance progress
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
partnering closely with business, analytics, and engineering stakeholders; in partnership with Information Security and compliance teams; Partner with Data Owners, Business Stakeholders, and Technical Leads; Experience partnering effectively with Business and functional stakeholders; Experience partnering effectively with Analytics and BI teams; Experience partnering effectively with Data engineering and platform teams
