What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years relevant risk and controls experience, Proven ability to embed control requirements into system and process design, Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, Demonstrated ability to drive issue escalation and resolution across complex programs
Nice to Have
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Risk Management, Information Systems, or related field, CISA certification, 5+ years of Big 4 audit experience, Experience in healthcare operations or payer-provider environments, Experience managing SOX/SOC audit coordination and external auditor relationships
What You'll Do.
Optimize and modernize operational controls
Embed control design into business modernization initiatives
Advance use of automated and data-enabled controls
Reduce operational risk and control failures
Act as controls subject-matter expert
Partner with operations
Identify key risk points
Assess current-state manual control processes
Define future-state control requirements
Identify and drive opportunities to transition manual controls
sustainable control solutions
Embed as controls SME within key initiatives
Identify key risk points and control objectives
Define and document future-state control requirements
Influence design decisions to reduce reliance on manual
Partner with cross functional teams and suppliers
Validate that controls are appropriately designed
Facilitate control testing
Confirm controls are implemented as intended
Ensure control design aligns with expectations
Develop and maintain prioritized backlog of automation opportunities
Translate control failures into actionable automation use cases
Enable automated controls and monitoring capabilities
Support shift away from manual sampling
Track and report on control optimization outcomes
Serve as trusted advisor to leaders
Act as bridge between risk/control requirements and technical
Support audit readiness
Promote proactive approach to operational risk management
Contribute to evolution of control framework
