What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Related field, 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience, Understanding of GAAP, Understanding of IFRS, Understanding of Accrual accounting, Understanding of Financial reporting, Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Hands-on experience with Xero, Hands-on experience with SAP, Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
Nice to Have
CPA or ACCA certification, Multi-entity accounting experience, Foreign currency accounting exposure, SaaS background, Real estate background, Professional services background, ERP implementation experience, Accounting automation experience, Experience improving accounting workflows and SOPs
What You'll Do.
Own full-cycle accounting processes, Deliver accurate financial reporting, Support audits and compliance, Improve accounting workflows and automation, Partner with leadership on financial insights, Prepare and post journal entries, Maintain reconciliations, Ensure accounting records remain accurate, Lead monthly and quarterly close cycles, Prepare trial balances and supporting schedules, Maintain detailed close checklists and workflows, Coordinate cross-functional sign-offs, Prepare Profit & Loss statements, Prepare Balance Sheets, Prepare Cash Flow statements, Analyze budget vs.
actual, Analyze forecast vs.
actual, Analyze operational variances, Provide written financial commentary, Support executive and board reporting packages, Prepare PBC schedules for external audits, Support tax filings, Support compliance reporting, Support internal accounting controls, Identify inefficiencies across reconciliations, Recommend automation and process improvements, Support ERP optimization initiatives, Update accounting SOPs and documentation standards, Review and approve work completed by staff accountants, Mentor junior team members, Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Collaborate cross-functionally with Leadership, Reconcile accounts and review overnight transactions, Post accruals and month-end journal entries, Review financial statements and analyze variances, Collaborate with operations on revenue recognition, Support reporting preparation for auditors, Improve accounting workflows and documentation standards.
