What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Related field, 4–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, GAAP understanding, Financial reporting understanding, Reconciliations understanding, Accrual accounting understanding, Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Hands-on experience with Xero, Hands-on experience with SAP, Advanced Excel skills, Advanced Google Sheets skills
Nice to Have
CPA or ACCA certification, Experience with multi-entity accounting, Experience with consolidations, Experience with foreign currency accounting, Experience in SaaS industry, Experience in real estate industry, Experience in professional services industry, ERP implementation exposure, Accounting automation exposure, Experience improving accounting SOPs and workflows
What You'll Do.
Own full-cycle accounting processes, Deliver accurate financial reporting, Improve accounting workflows and controls, Support audits and compliance initiatives, Partner with leadership on financial insights, Prepare and post journal entries, Maintain reconciliations, Lead monthly and quarterly close cycles, Prepare Profit & Loss statements, Prepare Balance Sheets, Prepare Cash Flow Statements, Perform budget vs.
actual analysis, Perform forecast vs.
actual variance analysis, Provide commentary for leadership, Prepare schedules for audits, Prepare reporting packages for executives, Support external audit requests, Ensure timely sales tax filings, Ensure timely property tax filings, Ensure timely compliance reporting, Maintain internal controls, Identify accounting inefficiencies, Improve workflows, Reduce manual processes, Support ERP optimization, Enhance reporting accuracy, Review work of staff accountants, Mentor junior team members.
