Investigate discrepancies with clear supporting documentation; Resolve outstanding items; Identify and resolve any invoicing gaps or discrepancies; Provide clear, concise explanations for key fluctuations; Escalate potential missing items or misstatements as appropriate; Identify and champion opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness across the accounting cycle through automation and AI-assisted workflows; Actively identify repetitive or manual tasks across AR, invoicing, month-end close, and reporting that are candidates for automation or AI-assisted workflows, and champion their implementation; Monitor existing automations for issues and iterate based on team feedback; Build and refine Finance productivity solutions
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a SaaS or technology company environment, Solid grounding in double-entry bookkeeping, GAAP, and IFRS (particularly IFRS 15 and IFRS 16), Currently pursuing CPA designation or recently designated (CPA); candidates actively progressing through the CPA PEP program are strongly encouraged to apply
Nice to Have
Knowledge of NetSuite would be considered a definite asset, CPA designation
What You'll Do.
Prepare and post monthly journal entries including accruals
lease accounting entries (IFRS 16)
and revenue recognition adjustments (IFRS 15)
Own specific balance sheet areas including prepaids
and complete related reconciliations
Maintain and update the fixed asset subledger
Review and approve sales orders to ensure accuracy and completeness as the basis for revenue recognition
Perform regular reviews of the sales order and invoicing backlog
Address customer billing inquiries and questions from Account Executives
Support the AR Specialist with day-to-day accounts receivable operations
Perform invoicing and monitor the unbilled accounts
Support revenue processes including review of key inputs and reconciliations

Prepare monthly revenue analysis identifying drivers of change and highlighting risks
Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and related working papers
Perform monthly and quarterly variance analysis providing clear
concise explanations for key fluctuations
Prepare reporting packages for external stakeholders
Support annual audited financial statements and statutory audits
Lead or coordinate assigned areas of the annual audit process
Provide tax support by assisting with gathering
and interpreting financial information required for tax filings
and other statutory requests
Actively contribute to Finance system implementations and tool upgrades
Support the maintenance and optimization of NetSuite
Identify and champion opportunities to improve efficiency
and timeliness across the accounting cycle through automation and AI-assisted workflows
Develop and implement practical financial policies
Follow guidance set out by corporate security policies and ensure departmental security processes and procedures are followed
Actively identify repetitive or manual tasks across AR
and reporting that are candidates for automation or AI-assisted workflows
and champion their implementation
and continuously improve automation workflows using Workato and other tools
Monitor existing automations for issues and iterate based on team feedback
Leverage AI tools including ChatGPT
Claude and Google Apps Script to build and refine Finance productivity solutions
Document automated workflows so the team can operate and iterate on them independently
Coach and train junior Finance team members
Provide guidance on reconciliations
Perform limited review of others’ work to reinforce development
Provide support to all members of the Finance team as required
