Occasionally works extended hours for emergencies at leadership discretion. The Security Specialist is responsible for assisting in the coordination of a safe and secure environment for Digi-Key employees, vendors, and visitors. This role includes collaboration and execution of safety initiatives. The position’s focus is the execution of security, communicating organizational objectives and expectations, monitoring the progress of security initiatives, and taking appropriate action as directed. This is considered an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance and occasional irregular hours. # **Responsibilities:** * Provide friendly and professional customer service/front desk coverage, and visitor management * Execute Digi-Key’s security needs, including monitoring facilities, parking lots and grounds via various systems (i.e., security cameras, door access system, fire alarms, in-person rounds), processes, procedures, and programs * Participate in facility security matters, providing safety assistance and coordination of staff in response to emergencies, alarms, and other issues to assist with the mitigation of any potential security threats * Assist with periodic internal inspections of safety-related items in the Fargo facility in compliance with Local, State, and Federal standards.
