Industry & Context.
flexible with the hours you work, must hold a valid SIA Licence, must of lived in the UK for 3 years or longer, required to complete a CTC for this role, successful candidates will be required to complete a basic DBS record check following interview in line with CAA requirements, able to provide 5-year checkable history
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
valid SIA Licence, lived in the UK for 3 years or longer, complete a CTC for this role, Passport or Birth Certificate, UK Settled Status (If applicable), Proof of National Insurance, Proof of (current) Address, 5 Year Address History, 5 Year Work Reference History, complete a basic DBS record check following interview in line with CAA requirements, provide 5-year checkable history
What You'll Do.
Operate X-ray and explosive detection systems (EDS) to screen checked-in baggage for prohibited and dangerous items.
Interpret images accurately to identify threats and escalate suspicious findings as per standard procedures.
Ensure all screening activities are conducted in line with national and international aviation security regulations (e.g.
Maintain a high level of awareness and adherence to airport security protocols.
Conduct physical inspection of hold baggage when required
following established security procedures and with respect for passengers’ property.
Ensure all equipment is correctly calibrated
and used as per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
Report any malfunctions or irregularities in screening devices immediately to supervisors.
Accurately complete all required security logs
and incident forms in a timely manner.
Support investigations by providing detailed and factual information as needed.
Work closely with ground handling agents
and airport authorities to ensure secure baggage handling and smooth operations.
Respond swiftly and appropriately to security alerts
or emergency situations involving hold baggage.
Attend regular training sessions on updated security procedures

Participate in drills and internal audits to ensure constant operational readiness.
Maintain a professional demeanor at all times while ensuring passenger safety and service excellence.
Handle inquiries and interactions with respect
Follow health and safety policies while performing baggage screening duties.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary and contribute to a safe work environment.

Team & Collaboration
working closely with our Airport Operations Team to support passengers; Cooperation with Airport & Airline Personnel: Work closely with ground handling agents, airline staff, and airport authorities to ensure secure baggage handling and smooth operations.
