1-2 years in PSOC, GSOC, or dispatch center, CPP, PSP, or other safety industry designation
What You'll Do.
Perform site security operations
Protect company assets
Use physical and electronic security measures
Support workplace violence prevention
Support emergency preparedness efforts
Staff the Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC)
Monitor security systems in real-time
Coordinate incident response
Follow safe work practices
Follow company policies and procedures
Ensure post orders are followed
Assist contract security personnel
Perform secondary duties
Assist with safety initiatives
Manage access control systems
Manage video surveillance systems
Manage visitor management systems
Manage integrated security platforms
Monitor video surveillance
Monitor access control alarms
Monitor intrusion detection alarms
Monitor duress and panic alarms
Monitor environmental alerts
Assess events and alarms
Initiate appropriate response
Dispatch on-site security personnel
Dispatch facilities staff
Dispatch external emergency services
Maintain clear communications
Document all events and actions
Maintain daily activity logs
Maintain shift turnover reports
Maintain after-action summaries
Conduct routine checks of PSOC equipment
Monitor weather alerts
Monitor travel advisories
