Our Retail Operations & Transformation team are laser-focused on critical metrics—driving SAP support, efficiency of in-store operations, checkout performance and play a key role with new store openings & ownership changes across all three banners. Te Tūranga – About the role We’re looking for an experienced Security & Facial Recognition Technology (FRT) Manager to lead our enterprise security capability and oversee the delivery and operation of FRT across our stores. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring our security systems and FRT programme are safe, ethical, compliant and effective - protecting our people, customers, and communities while reducing harm and loss. You’ll own the end-to-end FRT operating model, from rollout through to governance and ongoing optimisation, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Ngā kawenga matua – Key responsibilities Provide enterprise leadership for security and loss prevention across Foodstuffs North Island Lead the rollout and ongoing operation of FRT, ensuring readiness, training, and successful adoption Ensure all FRT use is privacy-by-design and compliant with legislation and regulatory expectations Establish and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and controls Oversee day-to-day operations including alert accuracy, audits, and risk management Analyse security and incident data to drive improvements in safety and shrink Manage vendor partnerships (including Auror) and performance outcomes Partner across Retail Operati
