What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Experience in leading the definition and development of multi tier web services. Experience in engineering. Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations. Experience partnering with product or program management teams. Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team, or experience debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices in large-scale systems.
Nice to Have
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy. Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. Experience managing teams, or experience in computer architecture. Experience designing, building, operating, and managing large-scale distributed systems or web services. Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines.
