What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs, Hands on expertise in GL accounting, closing & reporting processes and activities, Knowledge of GL accounting and reporting, Knowledge of Microsoft Office and expertise of MS Excel, Fluent English is mandatory (written and verbal)
Nice to Have
Experience in working within a Business Services organization, Good business acumen, problem solving, deductive and analytical skills, Hands-on experience of SAP FICO and other accounting related IT tools (e. g. Trintech Cadency)
What You'll Do.
Deliver GL monthly closing & reporting services to SBS
Perform monthly closing activities as per Group timetable
legal and statutory reporting at Group and country levels
Address operational issues and follow through to resolution
Deliver operational KPIs and comply with Sanofi policies and guidelines
Review interfaces that generate automatic postings
Reconcile accounts and post Manual Journal Entries (MJE)
Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis
Contribute to business reviews
Execute in compliance of processes
transactions and reports with Sanofi accounting policies
internal control guidelines and audit / SOX requirements
Complete all activities as per the global Core Model and operational KPIs
Develop expert level knowledge of the activities in scope
Pro-actively anticipate operational issues and coach junior analysts
document and transfer A2R Core Model process knowledge relating to GL monthly closure and reporting activities
Identify process improvement opportunities
Participate in process automation initiatives

Works closely with Finance (Controlling, Treasury, Tax, Internal Control); Works closely with other SBS departments; Works closely with Customer Service; Works closely with the A2R team
