What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3 to 5 years of experience in the AIT (Assembly integration and Test) production field, preferably in AIT Space or in Manuf. Engineering, Awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity
Nice to Have
Knowledge of CATIA/Delmia, Knowledge of programming (Google App script)
What You'll Do.
Enable implementation of the Manufacturing System in the relevant AIT domain
Concur with Engineering domains during development phase to ensure Design solution is feasible and fits the industrial system
Bring industrial incomes and expertise to multifunctional teams assigned to AIT projects
Gain awareness and understanding of the whole configured set of Engineering technical information applicable for elaborating the Manufacturing Dossier
Analyze and optimize manufacturing technologies and capabilities
Ensure the feasibility of Assembly Integration and Testing of the thermal
mechanical and electrical hardware
Ensure Material & Processes Selection List and Standard Selection List fit in the AIT execution works
Define the Manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM) and make material requirements available to the Supply Chain
Technically support project AIT manager & Production staff during shopfloor execution
Build process definition for AIT activities
Define the as planned structure
Characterize the AIT work sequence and key industrial parameters
Identify the need and specify requirements for industrial asset
Integrate the Quality inputs relevant to the AIT activities
Consider inputs from PFMEA and Health & safety general regulation
Consider schedule and delivery rates constrains
Consider Resources and Means optimization
Consider Economic aspects
Lead the work preparation activities
Release Systems Mechanical&Electrical Integration Procedures and incorporate them into comprehensive Work Orders
Foster regular feedback loops with the Production & Quality Team
Support shop floor continuous improvement
Provide technical advise in the budget preparation
Involved in CapEx planning to support determination of cost improvement measures
Develop and deploy capability in case of New Product / Process is introduced
Support and influence on qualification campaigns

****Job Description:**** As a Thermo-Mechanical **AIT Manufacturing Engineer** you will be assigned to the **Satellites & Payloads Product Line**, and given assignment to specific set of projects, managed transversally by a Lead Project Manager. You will get integrated as ME active workforce inside a multi-Functional project team, where all members receive the challenge to successfully develop, industrialize, produce and deliver a finished and fully functional product to an end customer in the Space sector. Satellites Product Line in Spacecraft Production Spain comprises a set of well-established Space products in Airbus Space Systems portfolio, devoted to Earth Observation Science & Exploration (i.e Paz 2, LSTM, Aeolus, MeTop), Telecomm & Nav Systems Programmes (i.e. Adler, SpainSat, Galileo) and potentially to Constellation Programmes. Purpose of Thermo-Mechanical AIT Process Engineer is to enable, **for the project(s) he is assigned to the implementation of the Manufacturing System in the relevant AIT domain**. This translates into the following main accountabilities: * Concurr with Engineering domains during development phase so to **ensure Design solution is feasible and fits the industrial system**. * **Bringing industrial incomes and expertise to multifunctional teams assigned to AIT projects** within the Satellites Product Line. * Gain proper awareness and understanding of the whole configured set of Engineering technical information applicable for elaborating the **Manufacturing Dossier** in the project, so due traceability is granted (As Design-As Planned) * Analysing and optimizing manufacturing technologies and capabilities available in Space Spain Plant or at extended industrial partners & suppliers. * Ensure the feasibility of Assembly Integration and Testing of the thermal, mechanical and electrical hardware * Ensure Material & Processes Selection List and Standard Selection List in the Manufacturing Dossier all fit in the AIT execution works allocate
