Ability to obtain an Active Secret clearance is required for this position, Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or a related technical field, 3-5 years of experience in systems engineering or requirements management, Experience with requirements specification, analysis, and verification, Familiarity requirements traceability tools (e. g. , DOORS), analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills, Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice to Have

Master's degree in a technical discipline, i. e. , engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, INCOSE ASEP/CSEP/ESEP certification, MBSE certification (OCSMP), Experience with Agile development tools or methodologies, Knowledge of Jira and Confluence, Experience with MILSATCOM systems (AEHF, EPS, WGS, Tactical SATCOM, COMSATCOM), Background working with DoD or military customers, Familiarity with space and ground systems such as satellite communications, terminals, or DoD networks

Defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force (USSF) satellite communications

Support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities

Support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities to assist with development and maintenance of technical baselines

and manage system and subsystem requirements

ensuring they are clear

Analyze system requirements and participate in verification activities

including review of TRDs

and related documentation

Work with government and contractor teams to identify and close requirements gaps

Support and occasionally lead technical working groups: preparing meeting materials

and fostering collaborative problem-solving

Assist in assessing impacts to the system technical baseline and identifying integration considerations across stakeholders

Review program documentation

capture reviewer comments

and collaborate with contractors on adjudication

Provide technical input and assist in developing briefings for USSF program leadership

and dependency management help identify disconnects and propose solutions

**Title:** SATCOM Requirements System Engineer ** _Belong. Connect. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security. KBR is seeking a SATCOM Requirements Systems Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. You will join a systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force (USSF) satellite communications. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USSF. You will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolve and identify risk, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing, and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes. The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state of the art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters.
