What They're Looking For.
Must Have
8+ years of hands-on experience in ABAP (OO focus), HANA database optimization, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori/UI5, OData services, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Extension and Integration Suites, SAP Transport Management, gCTS, modern CI/CD pipelines in an SAP environment, IDocs, RFCs, Web Services, REST APIs, Ability to look beyond immediate tickets to see the long-term impact on the system architecture, Exceptional ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, A "firefighter" mindset when critical production issues arise, coupled with the patience to find the root cause, Define the technical vision for the SAP lead upgrade strategies, system refreshes, and cloud migrations, Ensure all developments follow SAP best practices, Enforce the use of RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming) and CAP (Cloud Application Programming) models where applicable, Mentor a team of ABAP/Fiori developers, Perform code reviews, Manage resource allocation, Foster a culture of continuous learning, Oversee the integration of SAP with third-party systems using SAP BTP Integration Suite, APIs, and Middleware (PO/CPI), Act as the bridge between functional consultants, business process owners, and the technical team to translate requirements into robust technical specs, Establish and maintain development standards, naming conventions, and documentation requirements, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, Experience leading at least one full-cycle S/4HANA conversion or implementation project
