Full Job Description

The Topeka Distribution Center is looking for a Saturday, Sunday, Monday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sanitation Worker, who is responsible for maintaining sanitation levels in and around company facilities as set by company standards and procedures. This employee is expected to do to the following job duties: * Clean warehouse with hand brooms and the sweeper/scrubber machine to meet company standards. Clean warehouse of all loose debris from the floor and traveling area – immediately. * Ensure all trash cans are empty and clean from offices and buildings. * Clean break room, restrooms, and work areas. * Ensure that pest control systems are operating effectively by removing damaged product immediately. * Sweep entire floor area of warehouse – daily/weekly clean-up. * Daily Gravity Docks Racks detail and E80 Cleaning/Inspection detail. * Remove ice and snow from pedestrian walkways and doorways. * Keep grounds free from litter and debris to include bi-weekly perimeter detail, monthly outside glass, and monthly dock plate cleaning. * Inspect fire extinguishers routinely and document results on fire extinguisher tag. * Obtain a JM Smucker Forklift license and demonstrate safe operations of the forklift or other powered material handling equipment. Equipment utilized includes: Baler, manlift, forklift, motorized hand-jack, Tennant floor sweeper/scrubber, Clarke walk-behind scrubber, T-1 small scrubber, shop vac, air compressor, generator, snow blower, and leaf blowers. * Keep forklift battery area clean and conduct monthly E80 floor scrubbing. * Report maintenance and safety issues to a shift supervisor in a timely manner. * Review, understand, and follow the operator responsibilities of all JSA’s and Safe Practices written for warehouse. * Comply with OSHA and other appropriate standards. * Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate with job tasks and areas. * Complete scheduled annual tasks, to include: overhead lighting/high wall detail, overhead RiteAid and Bi
