Must Have
3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing sanitation, at least 1 year in a supervisory role, Ability to read and interpret SDS, sanitation logs, and audit documentation, Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed, Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
Nice to Have
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field, HACCP certification or equivalent

Full Job Description
## Description *Please note this is a 3rd shift role the schedule is Mon-Fri 7pm-5am* The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all sanitation activities within the facility to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role leads a team of sanitation personnel, manages cleaning schedules, and supports continuous improvement in hygiene practices across production areas. ## Duties/Responsibilities Supervise daily sanitation operations including cleaning of equipment, production areas, and facility infrastructure. Conduct routine inspections for sanitation deficiencies, structural and equipment damage, and report findings to the Food Safety Manager. Monitor and verify chemical concentration checks and titrations; correct deviations as needed. Oversee allergen washdowns, post-USDA sampling cleaning, and sterilization of processing environments. Maintain sanitation equipment and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and PPE. Must assist on the floor when team support is required. On Saturdays when the department is operating, supervisors are required to be available to respond, provide assistance, and coordinate as needed Supervisors are responsible for providing floor support when operational needs arise. Train and mentor sanitation staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and GMP compliance. Ensure documentation of sanitation activities, including master sanitation schedules and audit readiness records. Support third-party audits and internal quality assurance programs. Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve sanitation-related issues and implement corrective actions. ## Required Skills/Abilities Strong leadership and team coordination skills. Knowledge of sanitation chemicals, equipment, and food safety regulations (e.g., USDA, HACCP, SQF). Ability to read and interpret SDS, sanitation logs, and audit documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sanitation tracking
