The incumbent ensures cleanliness of assigned areas and equipment. Further, the Sanitation (U) disposes of waste in accordance with applicable guidelines and regulations to ensure institutional compliance. **CORE JOB FUNCTIONS** * Takes out the trash and replaces container trash bags. * Ensures applicable areas are properly stocked. * Cleans tile floors, restrooms, and equipment with approved chemicals. * Dusts and wipes applicable areas and vacuums carpeted floors. * Responds to service requests to address spills or other incidents. * Maintains applicable equipment in good working conditions at all times. * Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. _**This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.**_ **CORE QUALIFICATIONS** * High School diploma or equivalent * Minimum 1 year of relevant experience **​knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:** * Commitment to the University’s core values. * Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment. * Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. * Ability to understand and follow instructions. _The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and primary responsibilities of this job
