What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of experience in construction sales, estimating, builder services, specialty contracting, or a related field, Experience working directly with residential builders, developers, or production homebuilding accounts, Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, and project scopes, Ability to independently own both business development and estimating responsibilities, Residential construction experience
Nice to Have
Experience estimating insulation, fireplaces, building products, or related specialty trade scopes strongly preferred, Existing relationships within the Kansas City builder market are highly preferred

Build and maintain relationships with residential builders
Identify new business opportunities through referrals

Support project handoff by clearly communicating awarded scope
Monitor local builder activity
Maintain organized records of bids
