5+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Technical Consulting, Solutions Architecture, or a similar customer-facing technical role, Experience designing or supporting API integrations, data workflows, or business process automations in a SaaS environment, Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical workflows, data requirements, and implementation plans, Hands-on experience with automation tools, scripting, APIs, and structured data analysis, AI fluency, including the ability to use AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, automate workflows, synthesize information, and support high-quality outputs while applying sound judgment and data security standards

The Sales Engineering Automation & Forward Deployed Engineer is a hybrid role that increases Sales Engineering leverage across three areas: AI automation, customer-facing forward deployed engineering, and SE reporting/data visibility.    This role builds targeted automations that remove repetitive work from SEs and AEs, partners directly with strategic customers that need help designing automation or integration patterns around Restaurant365, and works with RevOps to make SE contribution visible in standard reporting.    The expected outcome is higher SE capacity, stronger win rates on complex opportunities, faster time to value on automation-heavy accounts, and better visibility into technical win impact.  ## How you'll add value AI automation and workflow engineering (40–45%) Design, build, and maintain lightweight automations that support SE workflows, including call recap and follow-up generation, configuration and POV helpers, RFP and security-response accelerators, and reusable workflow patterns. Expected output: 3–5 production workflows per quarter, active weekly usage by a majority of SEs, and measurable time savings of 1–2 hours per SE per week. Forward deployed engineering for strategic accounts (30–35%) Partner with customer technical and operational teams on complex automation and integration use cases where Restaurant365 is a core system dependency.
