What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering, or a related field. 5–8 years of proven experience in B2B technical or solution sales, preferably within the industrial automation, electronics, or SMT industries. Demonstrated success in independent account management and regional sales strategy execution. Hands-on experience in managing distributor relationships and driving sales growth across assigned territories. Fluent in English (spoken and written). Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits across Malaysia.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of SMT inspection equipment (SPI, AOI, AXI) is a significant advantage.
What You'll Do.
Prospecting for new business, upselling, and cross-selling within an extensive install base, delivering results against a quota.
Develop and implement sales strategies in Malaysia.
Meet with customers to understand their requirements and propose tailored solutions.
Prepare and deliver proposals including pricing, shipment timelines, and product details.
Manage and grow key accounts while developing new customers to drive sales revenue.
Collaborate with channel partners and internal technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Track sales activities, forecast revenue, and report performance to SEA Sales Team Lead.
Serve as the main point of contact for customer issues, coordinating with support teams as needed.
